Migraine treatment
Why choose this treatment?
Migraine treatment with Botox
Botox migraine treatment is a medically recognised, effective therapeutic option for those who suffer from chronic migraine and have not achieved satisfactory results with conventional medication. The aim of the treatment is to reduce the frequency, intensity and duration of migraine attacks, and thereby to significantly improve quality of life.
Botox acts on the neuromuscular junctions to reduce the nerve signalling responsible for pain. Administered at specific points on the head, forehead, temples, nape and neck, it reduces the hypersensitivity of the nerves involved in the development of migraine.
It is important to emphasise that Botox migraine treatment is a therapeutic, not a cosmetic, procedure.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Migraine treatment is performed on an outpatient basis and generally takes 20–30 minutes. Botox is injected into specific points on the head and neck (the forehead, temples, nape, neck and shoulder area) in line with the international protocol. There is no downtime, and the patient can return to their daily activities shortly after the session.
The treatment is an ideal choice for those who:
- suffer from chronic migraine (at least 15 headache days per month),
- find that migraine significantly impairs their quality of life,
- have not achieved satisfactory results with conventional medication, or who have experienced side effects from it,
- are looking for a longer-term, preventive solution.
The first improvement is generally felt within 7–14 days. The maximum effect develops after 3–4 weeks. The effect of the treatment typically lasts 3–6 months, after which maintenance treatment is recommended.
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding
